LOVE IS PATIENT - Book 1
Promise…
“In her heart, Kathryn knew this was the place she was meant to be. And she couldn’t wait to prove it to her father, herself, and anyone else who might doubt it.”
All her life, Kathryn has known she didn’t belong in the city where she was raised. So when she is offered a teaching position in the small, frontier town of Promise, in the Dakota Territory, she doesn’t hesitate to accept. When she arrives, she knows she’s found the place she belongs.
However, she is faced with many obstacles as she proves to her family, and herself, that she is cut out for life out here. The biggest problem she comes up against is in the form of a man who is determined to prove she won’t make it until snowfall.
“Miss Kathryn Reeves wouldn’t be here come the winter.
He guaranteed it.”
Colt Hammond has no desire to deal with another spoiled city girl who thinks living on the frontier will be a fun little adventure. He did that once, and he won’t make that mistake ever again.
Just because she’s living on his property, and teaching at the little schoolhouse where his children will be going, doesn’t mean he has time to look after her until she’s ready to admit defeat and head back home.
What neither of them counts on though, is how strong the promise of love can be between two people who are destined to be together.
LOVE IS KIND - Book 2
Mercy came west as a mail order bride to escape the life she’d been raised in, only to find herself married to a man who wasn’t who he’d pretended to be. When her husband dies in a fire, the new widow is ready to do whatever she has to in order to make a good life for herself and the baby she is carrying. She’s never going to let another man hurt her, or her child, and starting over in the town of Promise is exactly what she needs.
Luke comes home a different man than he was when he left to serve in the cavalry. Carrying guilt over a decision that cost another man’s life, he hopes to find solace in the arms of his family before he moves on again.
But, when he shows up and offers his help to a new widow, he realizes running might not always be the answer. Together, they work to show the world they can handle whatever is thrown their way, while they soon realize it’s not such a bad thing to accept help from other people.
Will Mercy and Luke be able to stick to the bargain they make – she gets someone to help her get her crops off and prepare for winter, while he gets to have a sense of purpose as he heals? Or, will they find more than they’d dreamed possible along the way?
LOVE IS HEALING - Book 3
Elizabeth has no memory of the stagecoach robbery or anything about her life before being found lying by the wreckage just outside of a little town called Promise, in the Dakota Territory. But, by the appearance of her clothes and items found in her bag, she has come from wealth.
So, why was she traveling alone, in the middle of nowhere, with only one bag of personal items? No matter how hard she tries, she has no recollection of where she is from or where she was going.
As the local sheriff, Jackson has been dealing with a string of stagecoach robberies in the area. When he comes across the woman on the ground after the latest one, he is sure she has already succumbed to her injuries. However, she proves she is a fighter and over the days ahead, as they spend more time together, he finds himself wishing she could stay.
But, he also knows among her personal effects, was a note from a man professing his love and speaking of their upcoming marriage. Any feelings Jackson might have don’t matter because it is his duty to help get her back to the life she had before.
What will happen if Elizabeth can’t ever remember the truth of who she is or where she came from? Would she be able to stay and live the life, and the man, she’s beginning to fall in love with?
Or, will her old life prove to be too much to give up when she learns the truth?
*IN CASE YOU MISSED IT*
The Prairie Promise series was introduced in one of my other books titled Fae’s Fantasy. This book was part of a multi-author series, however my book can be read without needing to read all of the other books in the series. If you missed it, and would like to go back to see Promise for the first time as you get to read Fae and Caleb’s story, you can grab it at the link below 🙂
