Who Am I?
Well, first off, I’m someone who really has a hard time writing an “About Me” page…I’m never sure what people will want to know or even if they will find it interesting!
I started out writing sweet western romance – but I am starting to branch out into some other romance genres…(contemporary, time travel). However, I will always keep my stories sweet…simply because I grew up believing in fairy tales, and the power of a good story to make the reader fall in love with the characters.
I’m also a mom. That’s the one thing I knew without a doubt I always wanted to be – and I’ve been blessed to see that dream come true. I have 2 amazing, wonderful girls and every day I am thankful that I have them. I’m happily married – and in our household, we also have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Things are a bit crazy and chaotic most days…but I wouldn’t trade my life for anything.
I get to do something I’ve dreamed of since I was the little girl daydreaming about princes and fairy tales, reading the books that took me to faraway places. Now, I get to create the characters and the worlds for my own stories.
Never did I believe I could truly do something I loved and make it my life’s work…but I did.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 39 years old, and hearing your doctor tell you those words opens your eyes to a lot of things you hadn’t realized before. I’d always believed “someday” I would sit down and try to write a book. But that scare made me realize there are no guarantees in life, and I needed to make my somedays happen every day.
Everly was my first book, and it was scary putting it out there for the world to see. But, I’ve found the best fans and readers in the world who have embraced me and made me realize maybe this dream of mine has actually come true.
I love to interact with my fans, so if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, or joined my FB fangroup – click on the boxes at the bottom of the page and come and say hello!
Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement…you will never know how much it means to me 🙂
